The Ruperch is a primate operated perch, developed by Gerry Ruppenthal. It is constructed of Stainless Steel and operates by means of a spring-loaded hinge.

 

When the perch is needed the primate simply pulls down the perch and steps onto it.

 

When not being used by the primate, the perch folds upward against the cage wall providing more space for the animal.
