The Bio Containment Unit allows the housing of NHPs in a microbiological environment that can operate at a BSL-3 level using facility air handling equipment. Fan boxes can be provided, keeping the module independent from surrounding unit or facility air handling equipment.

 

• All doors and opening have mechanical devices for seal compression.

• Room air is drawn into the cage through a HEPA filter on the front door.

• Two removable fan modules filter cage air before being exhausted back into the room.

• All door and windows are made from tempered glass.

• Vertical Tunnel can be removed and the openings sealed to allow Chambers to operate independently.

• This unit has special doors with latches that allow passage into Tunnel on both Cages and Chambers.

• Optional light source on rear of Unit to provide additional light to lower chamber.

• All chambers and Cages can be custom designed and sized to best suit your needs.
